NGN is speeding up the arrival of the Ubiquitous Society. In this ubiquitous society, there will be a dramatic increase in the terminals and locations connected via networks, making NGN an essential foundation for activities by individuals, enterprises, and society as a whole. Enterprises and government agencies will also begin offering more services linking the public and private sectors, including collaborations between industries and Internet transactions between individuals, to adapt to the changes in consumer behavior. This in turn could create new business opportunities.
This is an example of the “Dynamic Collaboration” advocated by NEC. From NEC’s perspective, “NGN” is not limited to the narrow fields often discussed; it includes IT and network integration solutions provided to individuals, companies, and society. NEC will take advantage of the IT/Network integration technologies targeting the ubiquitous era, which are promoted and accelerated by NGN, to bring about innovations for customers.
At this C&C User’s Forum and iEXPO 2007, we will present advanced solutions and products for the ubiquitous era in two separate venues: A “Workshop Forum,” which will focus on carefully selected advanced examples, including outstanding papers and results of NUA research activities, as well as presentations by leading experts from Japan and around the world; and a “Comprehensive Exhibition” of IT and network products and technologies by the NEC Group and its partners. We hope that you will enjoy both of these events.
